The 3M™ Temflex™ Vinyl Electrical Tape 1700, part number 65429, is a high-quality, economical general-purpose vinyl insulating tape. This flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) tape provides excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids, and varying weather conditions, including copper corrosion. It is conformable and offers superior mechanical protection with minimal bulk. The tape is UL Listed and CSA Certified, making it suitable for primary electrical insulation for wire and cable splices rated up to 600 volts. It is also ideal for protective jacketing for high voltage cable splices and repairs, as well as for harnessing wires and cables in both indoor and outdoor applications, above or below ground.
