This bearing sits in the front axle assembly and supports the axle's shock-absorption system. It carries the vertical and lateral loads transmitted from the wheel hub through the suspension linkage. A worn bearing produces play in the front axle, which leads to uneven tire wear and degraded steering response. As an original-manufacturer component, it is machined to the same internal clearance and raceway geometry as the bearing fitted during assembly, so no shimming or adapter sleeves are required during replacement. On installation, ensure the bearing bore and housing are clean and free of burrs, and press the bearing into place using the outer race only to avoid damaging the rolling elements.
