A worn or damaged end piece causes vibration, spline wear on the mating shaft, and eventual loss of drive engagement. As an original-manufacturer component, the spline geometry and case-hardening depth replicate the factory specification, so the fit to the tractor's PTO shaft requires no shimming or modification. On installation, verify that the retaining collar or pin is fully seated and that the shaft rotates freely before connecting the implement.
