This pin secures the connection between the baler chassis and the towed implement or drawbar assembly. It functions as a pivot point that allows the baler to articulate relative to the towing vehicle while transmitting the pulling force through the chassis structure. Wear on the pin bore or the pin itself introduces play in the hitch, which can cause misalignment of the pickup and feeding system during operation. This component is machined to the original shaft tolerance so that it fits the chassis bore without requiring shimming or bushing replacement.
