It sits between the piston and the housing, preventing fluid leakage that would otherwise reduce clutch engagement pressure. A worn or hardened O-ring causes a gradual pressure drop, leading to clutch slip and delayed engagement. The AGCO-manufactured part is molded to the original cross-section profile, which matches the groove depth in the housing so the seal compresses to the correct squeeze ratio. On reinstallation, ensure the sealing surfaces are clean and free of debris before fitting the new ring.
