Over time, the strip can become brittle or lose its grip, leading to loose panels and increased cabin noise. The part is manufactured to the original profile dimensions so it seats into the existing channel without adhesive or modification. On replacement, clean the channel of old adhesive residue before pressing the new strip into place.
