This O-ring seals the hydraulic pump to the gearbox housing, preventing fluid leakage at the pump-to-gearbox interface. It sits in the groove between the pump mounting flange and the gearbox casing, where it maintains a pressurized seal under varying oil temperatures and system pressures. A degraded or hardened O-ring causes external oil seepage and a gradual loss of hydraulic system pressure, which affects clutch and implement response. As an original AGCO component, it is molded to the same cross-section and durometer as the factory seal, so it seats correctly in the groove without requiring additional sealant. Replace the O-ring whenever the pump is removed for service; ensure the groove is clean and dry before installation.
