This oil seal sits at the clutch housing interface, retaining transmission fluid and preventing contamination from entering the clutch pack. It seals the rotating shaft where it passes through the housing, maintaining hydraulic pressure for proper clutch engagement and disengagement. A worn or hardened seal allows fluid leakage, which leads to clutch slip, delayed engagement, and eventual loss of drive. As an AGCO original component, the seal is molded to the same lip profile and spring tension as the factory-installed part, so it maintains the correct contact pressure against the shaft without requiring shimming or adapter rings. On installation, clean the housing bore and shaft surface, lubricate the seal lip, and press it in squarely to avoid distorting the sealing edge.
