This axle seal ring is an original component for the rear reduction gear of the host tractor. It sits between the axle shaft and the housing, retaining lubricant inside the planetary gear set while excluding dirt and moisture from the external environment. A worn or hardened seal allows gear oil to leak past the shaft, which can lead to reduced lubrication in the final drive and eventual bearing or gear damage. The seal is constructed to match the original housing bore and shaft diameter, so no shimming or adapter is needed during replacement. On installation, clean the sealing surface and ensure the lip is not rolled or nicked before pressing the ring into place.
