This hydraulic filter element removes particulate from the oil circulating in the hydraulic system before it reaches the pump and control valves. It mounts inside the filter housing on the pressure or return side of the loop, depending on the specific tractor layout. A clogged element forces the system's bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to pass downstream, which accelerates wear in the pump and actuator seals. As an original-manufacturer component, the filter's sealing surfaces match the housing bore geometry, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and does not leak under cold-start pressure spikes. Replace the housing O-ring during installation and torque the cap to the specified value.
