This front axle bushing is the original component that supports the pivot pin in the front axle assembly of the host tractor. It provides a wear surface between the axle beam and the pivot pin, allowing controlled articulation while maintaining alignment of the steering geometry. A worn bushing introduces play in the pivot joint, which causes steering wander, uneven tire wear, and accelerated wear on the pin and axle bore. The bushing is machined to the same bore and shaft clearances as the original assembly, so it seats without additional shimming. On installation, ensure the bore is clean and free of burrs, and lubricate the bushing bore before inserting the pivot pin.
