This insert fits into the gearshift lever assembly inside the tractor cab. It acts as a bushing or guide between the shift lever and the gearbox selector mechanism, reducing play and ensuring precise engagement of the selected gear. Over time, the original insert wears, causing excessive lever slop and difficulty finding gears. This AGCO-manufactured component is molded to the same internal and external profile as the original part, so it seats correctly in the shift tower without modification. On installation, clean the bore in the shift tower and apply a light lubricant to the insert before pressing it into place.
