This oil pump seal ring sits between the pump housing and the rotating shaft to prevent pressurized oil from leaking out of the pump cavity. It is an original AGCO-manufactured component designed to match the seal groove geometry of the host tractor's oil pump assembly. A worn or hardened seal ring allows oil to bypass the pump outlet, reducing lubrication flow to the engine and causing a pressure drop at the gauge. The seal ring's cross-section and material durometer are matched to the original specification so that it compresses evenly when the pump cover is torqued down. On reinstallation, clean the seal groove thoroughly and inspect the pump housing face for scoring before fitting the new ring.
