This gearbox position sensor monitors and transmits the position of the transmission shift mechanism to the vehicle's control system. It is mounted directly into the transmission housing, where it detects the engagement state of selected gears. A failing sensor produces erratic shift patterns or a loss of gear-position display, often triggering a diagnostic trouble code. The sensor is an original AGCO component, machined to match the housing's thread and seal geometry so that no adapter or shimming is required during installation.
