This O-ring seals the wet clutch housing in the gearbox of the host tractor. It sits between the clutch pack and the hydraulic circuit, preventing fluid bypass that would reduce clutch engagement pressure. A degraded or hardened O-ring allows oil to leak past the piston, causing slipping or delayed engagement. The manufacturer specifies the cross-section and inner diameter to match the groove depth and bore of the original housing, so the seal compresses correctly without pinching. On reinstall, ensure the groove is clean and dry; lubricate the O-ring with transmission fluid before seating.
