This operator presence sensor is a switch that detects whether the operator is seated in the cab. It is wired into the tractor's electrical system and is a safety interlock component. When the sensor does not detect the operator, it can prevent the engine from starting or the PTO from engaging. A failed sensor may cause the machine to stall or refuse to start, or it may allow operation without the operator seated. As an original AGCO component, its electrical contacts and mounting geometry match the cab's harness connector and seat bracket, so no adapter or wiring modification is needed.
