This gas spring controls the opening and closing motion of the tractor cabin door. It is a type C shock absorber that provides a controlled lifting force to hold the door in the open position and dampens the closing action. The spring is mounted directly between the door frame and the door panel. A worn or leaking gas spring causes the door to drop or slam shut, reducing operator convenience and posing a pinch hazard. As an original AGCO component, the spring is matched to the door bracket geometry and hinge pivot point, so the stroke and mounting pin centers align without modification. Replace the spring as a pair if the opposite side shows reduced force.
