This air conditioner dryer filter removes moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant loop in the tractor cab climate system. It sits in the liquid line between the condenser and the expansion valve, where the desiccant inside the sealed canister adsorbs water that would otherwise freeze and block the orifice tube. A saturated filter allows ice formation at the expansion valve, reducing cooling capacity and cycling the compressor clutch more frequently. The filter is manufactured by AGCO to match the original housing thread pattern and seal face geometry, so the O-ring seats correctly and the system holds vacuum after service. On replacement, evacuate the system, install a new O-ring on the housing, and torque the cap to the manufacturer's specification before recharging.
