This fork is the attachment point at the top of the three-point linkage lift arm. It connects the upper link to the tractor chassis via a ball joint or pin, allowing the linkage to pivot as the implement is raised and lowered. A worn fork bore or cracked arm introduces play in the linkage, causing uneven implement lift and accelerated pin wear. The original part is machined to maintain the correct bore alignment and pin clearance, which prevents side loading on the lift-arm bushing. On installation, ensure the retaining pin is fully seated and the locking mechanism is engaged.
