This multi-ribbed belt drives the alternator from the engine crankshaft, supplying electrical power to the tractor’s systems. A worn or slipping belt reduces alternator output, causing low battery voltage and erratic operation of electronic controls. The belt is manufactured by AGCO to match the original profile and effective length, which keeps the tensioner within its working range and prevents slip at rated pulley speeds. On replacement, inspect the tensioner and idler pulleys for bearing wear, and verify the belt tracks centrally on all pulleys before final tensioning.
