This sensor monitors the position or status of the brake system within the electrical circuit of the host tractor. It provides a signal to the control unit, which interprets the brake engagement state for functions such as transmission disengagement or safety interlocks. A failed sensor can cause the control unit to receive no signal, preventing the tractor from starting or moving, or it may keep the transmission locked in neutral. The sensor uses the same electrical connector and mounting geometry as the original component, so no wiring modification or adapter is required for installation.
