This cabin filter captures airborne dust, pollen, and debris before it enters the operator enclosure. It sits in the HVAC intake plenum, filtering the incoming air stream that passes over the evaporator and heater core. A loaded filter reduces airflow, causing poor defogging performance and insufficient climate control. The filter is constructed to the same pleat density and media surface area as the original assembly, which maintains the specified static pressure drop across the HVAC fan. When replacing, note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and ensure the seal gasket sits flush against the housing rim.
