This bushing sits at the pivot point of the cab suspension link rod, forming the interface between the mounting bolt and the surrounding bracket. It absorbs vibration and allows controlled articulation of the cab relative the chassis. Wear in this bushing produces a loose or rattling cab mount, which transfers shock loads to the cab structure and reduces operator comfort. The manufacturer machines the bore and flange face to match the original assembly geometry, so the link rod aligns correctly without shimming. On reinstall, fit new spacer sleeves and torque the mounting bolts to specification.
