This rubber fuel system hose carries diesel from the tank to the engine's injection pump on the host tractor. It connects the fuel line between the pre-filter and the high-pressure pump, maintaining a sealed path that prevents air ingress into the fuel system. A cracked or softened hose allows air to enter, causing hard starting, erratic idle, or loss of prime. The hose is constructed to the same internal diameter and wall thickness as the original assembly, so it clamps securely without collapsing under suction. On replacement, use new hose clamps and verify the routing avoids contact with hot engine surfaces.
