This PTO shaft transmits engine power from the tractor's transmission to the implement driveline. It is the forward shaft section, mounted to the chassis and connected to the PTO output. The shaft transfers rotational torque through the coupling to the rear section that drives the implement. Wear at the spline ends or bearing surfaces causes driveline vibration and uneven power delivery. As an original component, the shaft is machined to the same spline profile and length as the assembly it replaces, so no shimming or adapter modifications are needed during installation.
