This hydraulic filter element removes particulate contamination from the oil circulating in the hydraulic system. It is installed in the return line, where it captures wear debris from pumps and actuators before the fluid re-enters the reservoir. A clogged element forces the system’s bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to reach sensitive components, which accelerates pump and valve wear. This original-manufacturer part matches the housing’s internal seal geometry, ensuring the bypass valve cracks at the correct differential pressure. Replace the housing O-ring during installation and tighten the cap to the specified torque.
