This switch controls the engagement and disengagement of the power take-off (PTO) system on the host tractor. It is mounted at the operator station and sends an electrical signal to the PTO clutch solenoid, which governs the flow of hydraulic oil to the clutch pack. A faulty switch can cause intermittent PTO engagement or a complete failure to engage, often without a diagnostic code. The original manufacturer's switch matches the electrical resistance and contact geometry of the factory harness connector, ensuring consistent signal voltage without the need for wiring modifications.
