This multi-rib V-belt drives the engine-mounted accessories — the alternator, water pump, and fan — from the crankshaft pulley. It sits in the front accessory drive system, routing power through the serpentine path defined by the belt tensioner and idler pulleys. A worn or glazed belt slips under load, causing undercharging, overheating, or belt squeal at idle. The original belt matches the pulley groove profile and rib count of the drive system so that tension is evenly distributed across all six ribs.
