This steering-angle sensor reports the angular position of the front axle to the tractor's electronic control unit. It converts mechanical rotation into an electrical signal that the ECU uses to coordinate steering response and to enable speed-dependent steering assist functions. A failing sensor produces erratic steering behavior or a warning light, as the ECU receives an inconsistent or missing position signal. The sensor is machined to the same mounting geometry and electrical connector interface as the original assembly, so no adapter harness or bracket modification is required. On installation, ensure the sensor is aligned with the steering stop and that the connector is fully seated and latched.
