This intercooler hose connects the turbocharger outlet to the intercooler radiator, routing pressurized charge air for cooling before it enters the engine intake. It sits between the compressor discharge pipe and the radiator inlet tank, forming a sealed duct that maintains boost pressure while allowing for thermal expansion and engine movement. A cracked or collapsed hose causes boost leaks, reduced engine power, and elevated intake temperatures. This original component is molded to the same internal bore contour and wall thickness as the factory hose, preserving the airflow cross-section and clamp-sealing geometry that the charge-air system was designed around. On replacement, ensure the hose ends are fully seated over the mating spigots and that the clamps are torqued to specification to prevent blow-off under peak boost.
