This bushing sits at the flange connection between the exhaust cooler and the downstream pipe in the exhaust system of the host tractor. It provides a controlled clearance and absorbs thermal expansion and vibration at the joint. A worn or collapsed bushing allows exhaust gas leakage, which reduces backpressure and can alter the regeneration cycle of the aftertreatment system. The bushing is manufactured to the same bore and flange dimensions as the original assembly, so it seats correctly against the cooler outlet without requiring shimming or modification. On reinstallation, ensure the mating faces are clean and the clamp is torqued to specification.
