This transmission cover gasket seals the interface between the gearbox housing and its access cover, preventing oil leakage and keeping contaminants out of the driveline. It is positioned on the engine side of the transmission assembly, where it compresses between the two mating surfaces under the cover bolts. A degraded gasket allows oil to weep past the joint, which can lead to low lubricant levels and accelerated gear wear. As an original AGCO part, the gasket is cut to match the cover’s bolt pattern and sealing land geometry, so no additional sealant is required during installation. Clean both mating surfaces and torque the cover bolts in a crisscross sequence to the specified value on reinstall.
