This tension roller maintains proper belt tension on the engine accessory drive of the host tractor. It is mounted on a fixed pivot and uses a sealed bearing to rotate freely against the belt span. The roller prevents belt slip that would reduce alternator, fan, or water-pump output. A seized or worn bearing causes belt squeal and can throw the belt off the pulleys. As an original AGCO component, the roller is machined to the same bearing preload and outer-diameter tolerance as the original assembly, so no shimming or adapter is needed during replacement. On installation, verify the belt routing matches the original layout and torque the pivot bolt to the manufacturer specification.
