This position sensor is an original-equipment component mounted on the front axle of the host tractor. It monitors the angular position of the axle relative to the chassis, sending a voltage signal to the electronic control unit that adjusts the front-suspension damping or axle-lock engagement. A failing sensor produces erratic suspension behavior or a warning light on the dash, as the control unit receives an out-of-range or intermittent signal. The sensor housing and connector are sealed to the same ingress-protection standard as the original assembly, so moisture and debris do not compromise the signal. On replacement, verify that the connector latch engages fully and that the mounting bolts are torqued to the specification for the axle bracket.
