This solenoid valve controls hydraulic flow to the rear-axle drivetrain components in the host tractor. It receives an electrical signal from the transmission control unit and opens or closes a pilot passage, which directs main hydraulic pressure to engage or disengage the drive clutches. A failed valve — whether stuck open, stuck closed, or leaking internally — produces symptoms such as delayed engagement, loss of drive, or unintended clutch slip. The original AGCO-manufactured valve uses the same orifice sizing and coil resistance as the original assembly, so the control unit's current-dwell timing and pressure ramp remain within specification. When replacing, ensure the mating surfaces are clean and the electrical connector seals are intact to prevent fluid ingress into the harness.
