This hydraulic oil filter is installed in the hydraulic tank of the host tractor. It removes particulate contamination from the hydraulic fluid before it circulates through the pump and control valves. A clogged filter element restricts flow, which can cause cavitation in the pump and erratic operation of hydraulic actuators. As an original-manufacturer component, this filter uses the same bypass-valve cracking pressure and seal geometry as the assembly it replaces, so the housing cap seats correctly without leaking. Replace the filter at the interval specified in the machine's service schedule, and ensure the housing seal is renewed on reinstallation.
