This cabin cushion is a shock absorber mounted in the frame base of the host machine. It isolates the cab structure from chassis vibrations, reducing transmitted shock loads to the operator station and the cab-mounted controls. The cushion compresses and rebounds to dampen vertical and lateral movement, maintaining a stable platform for the operator. A worn cushion allows excessive cab movement, which can cause fatigue in the mounting brackets and misalignment of cab linkages.
