This transmission breather adapter allows air to enter and exit the gearbox housing as internal pressure changes with temperature and operating load. It is installed on the transmission casing, where it vents pressure buildup that would otherwise force oil past seals. A blocked or missing breather can cause seal leakage or gearbox case pressurization. The adapter is manufactured to the original geometry so it seats correctly in the casing port and accepts the standard breather cap. When reinstalling, ensure the sealing surface is clean and the adapter is tightened to the specified torque.
