A failed accumulator causes slow implement response, erratic pressure readings, and increased pump cycling. The manufacturer machines the gas-charge port and diaphragm seat to the same tolerances as the original assembly, so the pre-charge pressure holds without leakage. On reinstallation, bleed the gas charge before removing the accumulator from the circuit.
