This metal-rubber shock absorber dampens vibration transmitted from the chassis to the body panels of the host tractor. It is installed between the frame and the cab or hood mounting points, where it isolates the operator station from low-frequency oscillations generated by the driveline and ground contact. A worn absorber allows body-panel rattling and increases cyclic stress on adjacent sheet-metal brackets. The original AGCO part uses a bonded rubber element that matches the original spring rate and compression travel, so it maintains the designed isolation gap without overloading the mounting studs.
