This air conditioning dryer removes moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant loop in the cab climate system. It sits in the high-pressure liquid line between the condenser and the expansion valve. A saturated desiccant bed restricts flow and reduces cooling capacity; the dryer must be replaced whenever the system is opened for service. The original assembly matches the seal geometry of the receiver housing, preventing refrigerant bypass. On reinstall, replace the O-rings and evacuate the system to the specified vacuum level before charging.
