This electrical resistor is a component of the tractor's air conditioning and electrical system. It regulates the voltage supplied to the blower motor, controlling the fan speed inside the cab. A failed resistor typically results in the blower operating only on its highest speed setting, or not operating at all, because the circuit can no longer step down the voltage.
