This boost pressure sensor measures the absolute pressure in the intake manifold after the turbocharger. The sensor sends a voltage signal to the engine control unit, which uses the reading to calculate fuel delivery and injection timing. A failing sensor typically causes a loss of engine power, poor throttle response, or an illuminated check-engine light. The original AGCO part is manufactured to the same electrical output curve and thread geometry as the component it replaces, so the ECU receives the correct pressure-to-voltage mapping without recalibration. When installing, ensure the sealing washer is clean and tighten the sensor to the specified torque to prevent air leaks at the intake manifold port.
