This spring pin secures linkage pins and clevis assemblies within the three-point hitch system. It is driven into a cross-drilled hole through the hitch pin or drawbar to prevent unintended withdrawal during operation. A missing or worn spring pin allows the retained component to slide out, causing sudden implement detachment. The pin is manufactured to the original geometry so it seats fully in the bore and maintains the correct interference fit. On installation, drive the pin flush with the surrounding surface; reuse is not recommended after removal because the spring action degrades.
