This expansion pin is used to secure interior trim or panel components within the tractor cab. It is pressed into a pre-drilled hole to create a friction-locked joint that resists vibration and dislodgement. As an original-manufacturer part, its diameter and length are matched to the cab's mounting holes so the pin seats fully without requiring additional fasteners. A pin that has loosened or corroded will allow the attached panel to rattle or detach, exposing wiring or controls to contamination. On reinstallation, inspect the receiving hole for deformation and replace the pin if it does not hold with firm hand pressure.
