This magnet is the electromagnetic actuator for the hand-brake system on the host tractor. When energized, it pulls the brake linkage to engage the parking brake; when de-energized, a return spring releases the brake. A failed or weak magnet results in incomplete brake engagement, allowing the machine to creep when parked. This component is manufactured to the original coil resistance and pull-force specification, so it matches the control circuit and mechanical travel of the factory assembly. On replacement, verify the electrical connector is fully seated and the linkage moves freely before testing.
