This left-side shield protects the tine bar assembly on a cultivator from soil impact and debris ingress. It mounts to the frame via two holes at a fixed spacing, covering the exposed portion of the tine bar where it enters the main beam. A worn or cracked shield allows soil to pack around the tine pivot, accelerating bushing wear and reducing tine retention. The reinforced construction resists deformation under heavy draft loads. When reinstalling, use the matching bolt and check that the shield sits flush against the frame face to prevent debris bypass.
