The filter element uses a 100-mesh screen to trap contaminants while allowing the rated flow to pass. A clogged or damaged filter restricts flow, causing pump cavitation and uneven spray pressure. The 1/2-inch threaded connection allows direct installation into the line. On reinstall, ensure the housing O-ring is seated and the cap is tightened to the specified torque to prevent leaks under operating pressure.
