A clogged insert reduces flow rate and causes uneven spray patterns, while a bypassed or torn screen allows contaminants to reach the pressure regulator and nozzle bodies. The self-cleaning design allows the operator to flush trapped debris from the screen without removing the element, reducing downtime during field work. On reinstallation, ensure the housing cap seal is clean and the cap is tightened to the manufacturer's torque specification.
