Case IH 10006 – Front Suspension Controller: Front suspension will not raise error
Issue description
The tractor's hydraulic suspension system is failing to lift or pressurize the front axle suspension cylinders to achieve the commanded ride height.

Check the cause
Check the Pressure Sensors: Access the "Trans FSUS" diagnostic menu on the A-post display to monitor the Rod Side and Piston Side pressure sensors. Turn the manual thumb screws down on the solenoids to relieve all hydraulic pressure. Once fully lowered and relieved, both sensors must read 0 psi (or 0 kPa). If a sensor reads high (e.g., 60 kPa or 390 kPa) when there is no pressure, the sensor is faulty and will block the suspension from raising or calibrating.
Inspect the Accumulators: A blown or depleted nitrogen accumulator will prevent the system from holding pressure, causing the suspension to fail to raise, bounce, or constantly hunt for position. Check the accumulator located by the suspended axle control valve (near the left-hand fuel tank) and the accumulators under the front radiator/weight bracket.
Test the Axle Position Sensor: Check the voltage of the rotary potentiometer (position sensor) located on the front axle linkage. The voltage should sweep smoothly without dropping out. If the voltage is erratic or falls below the absolute expected limit (usually < 740mV), the sensor is bad.
Attempt a Calibration: Try to run the suspended front axle calibration. If it immediately aborts with a "cal fail" or throws secondary codes like 145 or 150 (pressure sensor out of range), you have a sensor issue rather than a mechanical pump/cylinder failure.
Repair steps
Relieve System Pressure
Lower the front suspension completely. Locate the suspension control valve block and turn the manual override thumb screws down on the solenoids to relieve all trapped hydraulic pressure.
Replace Faulty Sensors
If your diagnostic checks revealed a pressure sensor reading above 0 kPa when relieved, unthread the faulty Rod or Piston pressure transducer from the control valve block and install a new one. If the position sensor failed the voltage sweep test, unbolt it from the axle linkage and install the replacement.
Replace Depleted Accumulators
If the sensors are reading correctly but the suspension will not lift or hold a charge, replace the faulty nitrogen accumulator(s). Depressurize the system, unscrew the bad accumulator from the valve block or front bracket, and install the new pre-charged unit.
Calibrate the Suspension
Install the diagnostic tool/jumper into the black diagnostic connector for the suspension processor. Start the engine and set the throttle to approximately 1200 RPM. Enter the diagnostic routine on the instrument cluster until the display changes to the calibration menu (often "H1" or "CAL"). Toggle the suspension switch ON/OFF three times to initiate the calibration. The tractor will automatically lower and raise the front axle to learn the minimum and maximum travel limits. Wait for the calibration to complete successfully.
